What to do in Prague with your children ?

1 Go to the Zoo

At 45 minutes from the centre, going to the Prague Zoo can be a nice trip for the whole day. The manager of the zoo loves animals et do his best to provide them with nice settings. Apart from discovering animals from the whole world, you children may enjoy playgrounds, petting little goats or taking the train, that will take them through the entire ZOO.     2 Go to an Aquapark

If you want some refreshment during the summer, or to swim and enjoy water slides during the winter, try one of Prague's aquapark. Aquapalace in Cestlice is the biggest in the Czech republic and offer a lot of toboggans, slides, 3 water palaces, artificial waves, whirpools, relaxation terraces... everything to divert children and let relax their parents. Otherwise, smaller but nearer (just take the tram 12, 14 or 20 to Sidliste Barrandov), Aquadream offers two toboggans, a big swiming pool, a relaxing space, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and a beach volley ground. 3 Go to Petrin

Petrin is considered as the biggest hill of Prague. If you don't want to get out of breath too much,  go up with the funicular. Up on the hill, an ice cream seller, poneys, the Stefanik's observatory, playgrounds, the "Eiffel tower" (299 steps), all of that in a beautiful parc. On your way back, you can walk to the Prague Castle or go down towards Ujezd, easily even with a stroller and with a beautiful view on the Prague Castle in addition. 4 Come to see trains

If you like model railway, go to Kralovstvi zeleznic, the Kingdrom of the railway, the biggest reduced model in the Czech Republic. You will find it in Prague 5, near the shopping center Novy Smichov. For more information : www.kralovstvi-zeleznic.cz

 

5 Go to the beach

At www.zlutelazne.cz, you will find a relaxed atmosphere, a choice of grass/sand to lie or equipment for a lot of sports. You can borrow scooters, bikes, longboards, roller skates, pedalos... a lot of things to do in a sunny summer day. To get there, just take the tram 21, 16, 17 or 13 and get off at the station Dvorce.

 

6 Skate

Roller skate : the best-known parcs for roller skate are Letna and Ladronka, you can borrow skates there !

 

7 Go to the childrens' island

This « island » is located in Prague 5, on the Vltava river : here. Just take the little bridge from the left side of the river, at Janackovo nabrezi.  You will find there playgrounds for children of all age and benches in the shade.

 

 

8 Gutovka site

For those who like sport J Gutovka offers a playground, a restaurant and many sports: climbing, beach volley, roller skating, minigolf... and above all tree climbing for young and old. It is near the metro station Strasnicka, in Prague 10. www.gutovka.cz

 

 

9 Outdoor playgrounds

You will find them almost everywhere, in all Prague's parc. For example in Petrin, Slovansky ostrov, the Fransiscan's garden near the Wenceslas Square, the Sacre Cœur, Letna…
